Description
Anne Arundel County fire fighters battled a large 4-alarm brush fire near a marina at Selby-on-the-Bay. Captain James Rostek said that fire crews were called to the 3700 block of Beach Drive Boulevard just before 3 pm Sunday. When units arrived they found a large working fire and immediately called for additional crews. Over 90 firefighters and at least 2 two fireboats fought the fire which threatened the Holiday Point Marina and several homes. Rostek said the fire claimed an out building and one sailboat. Another sailboat showed blistering from the fire. The fire was put under control around 3:30 p.m. The cause is still under investigation.
