Description
Popocatepétl volcano in Mexico has been showing signs of increased activity recently, The National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) reported yesterday. During 24-25 March, the volcano had 33 small steam and gas emissions, accompanied by small earthquakes and volcanic tremor. On Saturday night, incandescence was observed at the crater. CENAPRED recommends a safety radius of 12 kilometers around the volcano as eruptions with higher intensity could occur any time.
