A northern New Mexico fire is still zero percent contained as it continues to burn through a portion of the Carson National Forest. he 800-acre Sardinas Canyon Fire has been burning about 15 southeast of Taos since Sunday afternoon-primarily in a remote location with rough terrain. Officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze. 144 personnel were working to contain it on Wednesday, fighting hot and dry conditions in the process. A community meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in the boardroom of Mora Independent School, located at #10 Ranger Drive in Mora, New Mexico. The fire has also led to the closure of the Carson National Forest, though no evacuations have been announced.
