A United Airlines flight from Munich, Germany, made an emergency landing in Boston on Sunday afternoon due to a possible fire on board the plane, according to the FAA. United Airlines Flight 107 landed safely at Logan International Airport at 3:40 p.m. after the flight crew reported a "a possible fire," said Kathleen Bergen, an FAA spokeswoman, in an e-mail. Passengers were not evacuated, and the Boeing 777 being towed from the runway. The flight was originally headed to Washington Dulles International Airport, Bergen said. Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said that firefighters were dispatched to the scene but were turned back before they arrived. "Couldn't have been much because they're sending all our trucks back," MacDonald said. A spokesperson from Massport referred questions to United Airlines, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
