The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Mercer County Sunday afternoon, according to WDTN. At least 8 people were injured in the storms, WDTN reports. None of the injuries are life-threatening. Significant damage in Hardin and Marion counties has been reported, according to the sheriff's office in both central Ohio counties. Celina Mayor Jeff Hazel said Sunday, "One of the things that hits me is I immediately looked to see who was injured (and) what kind of injuries do we have because human life is... The most important thing is the sanctity of human life in general. My heart, our prayers and thoughts go out to the families of those who have been injured." Hazel continued, "We are certainly brightened by the point that they are non-life-threatening. I don't know any more information than that but that's the number one thing because, as we've discussed, you can always rebuild buildings."
