The Alberta Energy Regulator is reporting that a pipeline leaked about 10,000 litres of crude oil and 20,000 litres of produced water southeast of Drayton Valley. The AER says on its website that Calgary-based Bonterra Energy Corp. reported the leak last Friday from one of its pipelines about 10 kilometres southeast of the community. It says that the leak impacted a waterbody and some wildlife were affected by the spill. The regulator says the pipeline has been isolated and depressurized and cleanup is underway.
