Up to 80 young adults were injured after a deck collapsed during a party Thursday night in North Logan, officials say. Jon Keller, Fire Chief for North Logan City Fire Dept., said the call came in just after 10 p.m. on Camelot Drive. "It was just a party that some residents had. There was nothing illegal that we could see. They were just trying to have a good time and obviously overloaded the deck and the deck collapsed," Fire Chief Jon Keller said. Investigators say during the party the deck collapsed and sort of imploded on itself, sending dozens of people to the ground. "With all the debris of the splinters of the deck...that's where the cuts and bruises and where they got most of their injuries," Fire Chief Keller said. "Mostly superficial, but it's still pretty traumatic," he added. At least three of the people were taken to the hospital, but officials say none of the injuries are life threatening. Fortunately, no one was under the deck when it collapsed. Building inspectors will be on scene Friday to investigate.
