Vehicle Incident in Canada on January 30 2016 04:51 AM (UTC).
Nobody was hurt after a Vancouver-bound Air Canada flight made an emergency landing in Toronto on Friday night. Flight 549 from Newark, N.J. to Vancouver landed in Toronto at 7:57 p.m. There were 107 passengers on board, Air Canada said. Passenger Milun Tesovic tweeted that the plane lost pressure in the cabin and was forced to make a rapid descent to 10,000 feet. Air Canada blamed the drop in pressurization on a problem with the plane's air conditioning unit. "Emergency services were requested as a precaution only, and the aircraft landed normally without incident," an Air Canada spokesperson said in an email to CBC News. Tesovic shared an image from the plane upon touchdown that showed the Airbus A319's oxygen masks hanging from the cabin ceiling. In two followup tweets, the passenger praised the plane's crew and captain and said he'd been rebooked on another flight to Vancouver.
