Utility crews are busy restoring electricity after a wave of thunderstorms roared across Pennsylvania. Utilities across the state were reporting nearly 6,000 homes and businesses were without power Wednesday morning. Most of those were in Allegheny County. Strong winds downed trees and power lines on Tuesday night. Duquesne Light said about 1,200 customers still had no power Wednesday morning, down from about 9,000. Power was expected to be restored by noon for most customers, but some may not have their lights back on until Wednesday evening.
