A day after one section of apartments was evacuated for the threat of a landslide in Oregon City, officials say conditions are worsening and several other residents have been asked to evacuate. City officials have declared the possible landslide off S Beavercreek Road a state of emergency. Residents at the Berryhill Townhouses and Apartments (units 20-29) were evacuated as of 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21. Officials are now asking residents of the Forest Edge Apartments in the lower section (buildings 8-11) to evacuate by 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24.
