Firefighters are investigating a large blaze in Phoenix. The Phoenix Fire Department received reports about the fire near 26th Street and Thomas Road around 5:45 on Tuesday night. Fire Captain Aaron Ernsberger told ABC15 that the flames spanned between three to five buildings on more than one property. Propane tanks and oleanders are believed to have fueled the fire. According to SRP, the incident originally knocked out power for more than 600 customers in the areas of 16th to 40th streets and McDowell to Indian School roads. Power is expected to be restored by 7:35 p.m. Drivers are being asked to avoid the areas of Pinchot Avenue to 26th Street towards 28th Street, and 26th Street to Thomas Road for the next several hours, a Phoenix fire spokesperson said. No injures were reported and it's unknown how many people have been displaced. An investigation into the blaze is ongoing, however, no additional information has been released.
