A series of earthquakes was recorded in Cebu before dawn today, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). Based on the latest earthquake information from Phivolcs, the first tremor was recorded at 3:41 a.m. with a magnitude of 3.6 with the epicenter traced about 6 km NW of Asturias town. The second was recorded after two minutes at 3:43 a.m. with a stronger magnitude of 4.8. The succeeding earthquakes came at 3:58 a.m. with a magnitude of 3.3.; 4.41 a.m. - 2.9; 4:50 a.m. - 3.2; 6:17 a.m. - 2.9; and 9:13 a.m. - 2.7.
